What’s new with Boo — January

It’s hard to believe only one month has passed since we launched Boo! We’ve been blown away by the response and we’re thrilled to share some of the progress we’ve made.

In case you haven’t seen: Boo.ai is a new, minimalist text editor that uses AI (GPT-3) to supercharge your writing. It has a simple interface designed for speed and intelligence. Boo can generate content, make suggestions, edit your writing, and even help you brainstorm.

New pricing plans & free tier

This week we launched new pricing plans, including a free tier for people who only need to write occasionally. Paid plans are based on usage (words generated) and include access to Personalized AI.

New plans

• Free: 2,000 words per month
• Starter, $8/mo: 10,000 words per month, and $1 per 1,000 words over
• Pro, $36/mo: 50,000 words per month, and $.50 per 1,000 words over

Personalized AI

Boo now automagically pulls writing samples from across all of your docs when making suggestions. It makes autocomplete much smarter and more personalized to your writing style.

We’re extremely excited about making Boo a ghostwriter that writes with you, not just for you. This is one step toward that goal, with many more on the way.

Block editing & Magic Edit

We’ve also added per-block editing, including a command for “Magic Edit.” Magic Edit goes beyond spelling and grammar fixes, and includes stylistic edits like avoiding the passive voice and removing redundant wording.

New templates and more…

Over the past month, we’ve added over a dozen new copy generating templates, including:

• Idea brainstorm
• Outline from notes
• Time off request
• Payment reminder
• Hiring candidate rejection/interview invitation

Altogether we’ve made over 100 bug fixes and improvements since launching, and we’re just getting started. We have a few more big updates in the works that we’ll be rolling out over the coming weeks.
